Karachi: 15 injured in cracker blasts outside ANP leader's house
Third explosion took place when media teams and rescue officials arrived at the scene.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – At least 15 people were injured in three back to back cracker explosions outside Awami National Party (ANP) leader Muhammad Ali’s house in Qasba Colony area on Thursday morning, Dunya News reported.
Gunshots were also heard after the explosions, spreading panic among the residents of the area.
The injured people were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment where three of them were said to be in critical condition.
Police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest the culprits.
Meanwhile, MQM leader Altaf Hussain and Jamaat-e-Islami leader Munawar Hassan condemned the incident.
On the other hand, one suspected terrorists was killed in clash with Rangers near Manghopir Northern Bypass. Another suspect managed to flee from the scene.
According to sources, the alleged terrorists belonged to a banned outfit.
