Transporters announce wheel-jam strike in Karachi today
Karachi Transport Ittehad will observe wheel-jam strike today (Friday).
KARACHI (Online) - Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) announced wheel-jam strike in the support of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam s strike call in the city, adding that it would not bring transport on the roads today.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Samiul Haque) (JUI-S) had given a strike call for Friday over the killing of Mufti Usman Yar Khan.
University of Karachi has cancelled papers scheduled for Friday due to strike while private schools have also announced holiday.
Mufti Usman was gunned down by unknown assailants on Sharea Faisal last Friday.
