CNG association, transporters observe strike in Sindh
The strike was announced against suspension of gas supply for four days week.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh CNG Association and Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) are observing strike for an indefinite period from Saturday.
The strike was announced against suspension of gas supply for more than three days.
“All CNG stations will remain closed and public transport will remain off the roads for an indefinite period of time,” an APCNGA official said.
The CNG Association has also demanded schedule of gas suspension to various sectors and reduction of supply to the KEPTO power plants.
The CNG station owners and transporters were of the view that officials of Sui Southern Gas had an agreement that gas will be supplied three days a week, however, the agreement was violated and gas cuts continued for four days a week.
The strike will only end once the government accepts the CNG industry’s demands. Our only demand is that the SSGC only close supply in Sindh on alternate days, said the APCNGA and KTI leaders.
