Lahore: Security plan for Eid-ul-Azha finalized

About 8000 cops and 2500 traffic wardens would render services on the occasion.

LAHORE (Dunya News) Lahore police have finalized security plan in order to maintain law and order on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azaha on Wednesday. 

The scheduled security plan would be in effect from Tuesday night and continue for next three days till the end of the grand religious ceremony.

According to SP security Lahore, forces would be deployed at different sites particularly Eid gatherings and parks while special measures would be arranged for security of minorities places.

On the other hand, traffic police have decided to deploy more than 2500 traffic wardens in order to keep the flow of traffic in running order during Eid days.

According to Dunya sources, many wardens and officers are hesitating from rendering their services on Eid days. Senior officers have formed vigilance committees in order to remove the reservations of wardens and traffic officers.

CCPO Lahore has directed related SPs to monitor sensitive sites, with the warning that any negligence in this regard would be unbearable.
