PM pledges to transform Pakistan into economically viable state

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired the cabinet meeting in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has pledged to transform Pakistan into a peaceful and economically viable state.

He was speaking at a special meeting of the federal cabinet in Islamabad today (Tuesday).

The Prime Minister said that terrorism has badly affected economic activities in the country and this menace is no more tolerable.

The Prime Minister directed to upgrade Pakistan International Airlines on the footprints of Malasian Airlines.

PIA is on brink of destruction due to massive corruption and ineligibility, he added.

Nawaz Sharif said PIA is receiving billions of rupees of bailout package on monthly basis‚ which could be diverted to the energy projects.

He hoped this will yield better results to control load shedding.
