Acting CEC convenes meeting on Monday to discuss by-elections
All the four Provincial Election Commissioners have been directed to attend the meeting.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Tassadduq Hussain Jillani has convened a meeting on Monday to discuss the deployment of army at polling stations‚ overall security position and rain and flood situation with reference to the forthcoming bye-elections.
It will be attended all the four Chief Secretaries; Secretary Defence; Chairman‚ National Disaster Management Authority; and DG‚ Pakistan Meteorological Department.
An internal meeting of the Commission will also be held tomorrow afternoon under the chairmanship of Justice Tassadduq Hussain Jillani to review the arrangements made for the bye-elections.
All the four Provincial Election Commissioners have been directed to attend the meeting and and give briefing to the Acting Chief Election Commissioner.
