Fake degree holder can't contest polls: EC Punjab
Election Commissioner Punjab says dual nationality holders can't take part in forthcoming elections.
LAHORE (Dunya News):-Punjab Election Commissioner Mehbub Anwer has said that the assembly members who have been declared disqualified by the court would not be allowed to contest general elections.
While talking to the media after having taken charge of the Election Commission of Punjab, Mehbub Anwer said that stern action would be taken regarding scrutiny of nomination papers.
He made it clear that all the arrangements pertaining to general elections have been completed according to schedule.
Replying a query regarding law and order situation, he said that impenetrable arrangements regarding security would be arranged while additional forces would be deployed at sensitive polling stations.
