'Measures underway for return of Tawqir Sadiq'

Interior minister says that he is trying to take back the main character of Ogra corruption case.

 

Interior minister Rehman Malik has said that he is making efforts to take back the main accused of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority corruption case for further prosecution.


ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):- While talking to the media in FIA Headquarters on Friday, Rehman Malik said that the accused Tawqir Sadiq got visa from Afghan consulate in Peshawar on June 18 and reached Abudhabi via Kabul on January 21.


Reman Malik added that the accused could not be deported from Abudhabi without justification; however, he would be taken back here in Pakistan after completion of legal formalities.


Commenting on the issue of ex PM Yousaf Raza Gilani’s present before the FIA, the Interior Minister said that it doesn’t matter, if Gilani agrees to submit his stance before the inquiry committee.

 

Rehman Malik furthering his statement, he said that Khanani and Kalia scandal would be reviewed, adding that stern action would be taken against officials who committed criminal negligence during their job.


He said that the FIA is worthy of appreciation as it handled important cases very skillfully and masterfully.
