CEC should be given administrative powers: Shujat
Chaudhary Shujat Hussain says has said that CEC should be given administrative powers like India.
ISLAMABAD: Talking to media here on Tuesday, the PML-Q chief said that PML-Q wants autonomous election commission and PML-N should support this stance.
The caretaker setup would be formed after consultation of all parties, Shujat said.
The former PM said that no one would accept the proposal that the elections of national assembly and three provincial assemblies be held earlier and polls for Punjab assembly might be held latter. If the elections of national assembly would be held prior then they would affect the polls of provincial assemblies.
“Tahir-ul-Qadri gave gigantic sit-in (dharna) while PML-N staged very small protest (dharni). The rain washed away the N-League’s sit-in”, Chaudhary added.
