Govt, opposition to hold talks over interim setup
Sources said that the opposition have informed the PPP officials about their recommendations.
ISLAMABAD: The government is likely to hold talks with the opposition next week over the formation of caretaker setup ahead of general elections, Dunya News sources reported on Friday.
The opposition had suggested names of two former judges, Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid and Justice Shakirullah Jan, for the post of caretaker PM.
Sources said that the opposition have informed the PPP officials about their recommendations while final decision will be taken in the upcoming meeting.
The government delegation will be headed by PM Raja while members of opposition and PML-N members will join Chaudhry Nisar in the meeting.
