Sacking CJ Chaudhary was a mistake, concedes Musharraf

Former president Pervez Musharraf has conceded he made a mistake by sacking Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, Dunya News Friday reported. Addressing a crowd of above 2,000 audiences in Trinity University San Antonio Musharraf maintained that he realized the harm done to Pakistan by his steps. The former president told he had no personal enmity with Justice Chaudhary. A reference was sent against Justice Chaudhary and it was my constitutional and legal obligation as president to forward this reference to the Supreme Judicial Council. However the aftermath of the reference showed it was wrong and I shouldnt have done all this, Musharraf said. The former president opined that worlds problems were linked to Muslims condition and couldnt be resolved as long as Kashmir and Palestinian disputes existed. Pakistans nuclear arsenals are safe, the former president asserted.
