North Waziristan residents celebrate Eid today

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in North Waziristan and Shabqadar today.

A special meeting headed by Qari Muhammad Roman was held on Friday in a mosque at Miran Shah where the participants received six evidences from Miran Shah, Mir Ali and Haider Khail that they had sighted the Crescent after which an announcement was made that Eid will be celebrated on Saturday.It is interesting to mention here that accept Waziristan Shawwal moon was not sighted anywhere in the world. Even in Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday and Shawwal moon was not sighted on Friday.According to Met Office, there is no chance of Shawwal moon on Saturday too anywhere in Pakistan and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday.
