Monsoon spell to continue till Sunday

The Meteorological Department has announced on Saturday that more showers are expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Kashmir.Two children died while four were injured in roof collapse in Gulraiz area of Rawalpindi as heavy rain lashed the twin cities. Meanwhile, emergency has been declared in Rawalpindi while people are using alternative route to reach airport. More rainfall are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Kashmir and upper and lower parts of KP during the next 24 hours.Meanwhile, Showers are also expected for Gilgit and Baltistan, coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan in the next 24 hours.The highest temperature in the country was recorded at 47 degrees in Dilbadayn.
