Hajj scam: SC orders to repost Hussain Asghar in FIA

A three-member bench headed by chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the hajj case.

During the hearing, the court expressed displeasure over not transferring Investigation officer Hussain Asghar back to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).The court directed that Hussain Asghar should be transferred till June 5 to FIA otherwise interior secretary and establishment secretary should appear before the court for explanation.Hussain Asghar is currently serving as inspector-general (IG) in Gilgit Baltistan.The court confirmed that Babar Awan’s license has been suspended. Therefore, the federal government should appoint someone else as lawyer.The case was adjourned till June 5.
