President, PM express grief over air crash, order probe

President Zardari and PM Gilani expressed deep shock and grief over plane crash in Rawalpindi.

The President while expressing his heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the affected families, directed the concerned authorities to take all measures expeditiously in rescue operation and information desks be set up at Karachi and Islamabad airports to provide accurate and timely information to the affected families.He directed that every possible facility be extended to the affected families.He also directed to hold inquiry into the matter and that the report be submitted to the presidency.Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, while expressed deep grief over the plane crash, directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to utilize all resources for the rescue operation.Group Captain Mujahidul Islam, head of Safety Investigation Board, CAA, will lead inquiry committee into the incident.Two operation rooms have been set up at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Rawalpindi and Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
