India welcomes Army Chief's stance over Siachen

India has welcomed Army Chief Kayani's statement to resolve all issues including Siachen.

According to the Indian media reports,Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju welcomed Pakistans Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani’s call for the demilitarisation of the worlds highest battlefield.Emphasising peaceful coexistence with neighbouring countries, Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani on Wednesday called for the resolution of the Siachen and other outstanding issues between India and Pakistan, saying Siachen is a difficult front for both the countries and armies should be pulled out from the area.Raju said that he was glad to know that Pakistan is realising the challenge of maintaining troops in Siachen.
