Reshuffle in Federal Cabinet: 15 ministers likely to take oath

Government has decided to induct more ministers when Federal Cabinet will be reshuffled again.

The Federal Cabinet will be reshuffled for the 17th time while 5 new ministers and around 10 ministers of state could be inducted from the ruling PPP and its coalition parties.The new ministers will take oath today at the President House. Some old faces will again join the cabinet today.According to sources, four senior members of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will be inducted in the Federal Cabinet. The sources said that Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Qaira, Nazar Muhammad Gondal and Rana Farooq will be made Federal Ministers. Former Law Minister Maula Bux Chandio would be assigned the portfolio of Federal Minister for Parliamentary affairs.Raja Pervaiz Ashraf is former Minister for Water and Power while Qamar Zaman Qaira acted as Federal Minister for Information while Nazar Muhammad Gondal served as Minister for Food.The sources said that a reshuffle in the portfolios of some ministers is also expected. Currently the Federal Cabinet comprises 29 Federal Ministers, eight State Ministers and six special advisors.
