Taliban defeated or went underground, not clear: Holbrooke
It is not yet clear that Pakistan Army has completely defeated Taliban or they have quit some areas and gone underground, US Special Representative on Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke has said. He casted doubts on a statement by Pakistan Forces that claimed to have killed 1800 militants in Swat Operation. He said that he did know to what extent Pakistan Army could eliminate or disperse the militants. He said that the success of the operation would be judged when the IDPs reached Swat. On the other hand, a US Journal Long War Journal has claimed that Mauliv Fazlullah and many other Taliban commanders have successfully escaped the Swat Operation.
