KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – The censor board has continued to keep ambiguity over the decision to clear Mahira Khan-starrer Pakistani film ‘Verna’.

The production team of the film said that after getting clearance from the censor board, Verna’s premier will be first held in Lahore and then in Karachi.

Stunning celebrities and prominent personalities will also been invited on the red carpet of the third film of Shoaib Mansoor’s career as director. Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid have said that the film revolves around the women empowerment.

Exclusively talking to Dunya News, Mahira Khan hoped that censor board will soon clear the film as the concept is good and everything in the movie handled carefully. We have failed to understand what censor board has found objectionable in Verna, she added.

The film is a social-drama and slated to be released on November 17.
