Pakistan film 'My Pure Land' sent for 90th Academy Awards

It is to be mentioned here that three Pakistani films have been included in the category.

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Pakistani film ‘My Pure Land’, produced by London-born Pakistani film maker Sarmad Masood, has been sent for 90th Academy Awards.

The film is based on a true story of Sindh’s Nazo Dharejo, the woman who fought off 200 bandits to safe land of her farmer father.

The movie was shot in Pakistan with Sohai Ali Abro, Salman Ahmed Khan, Razia Malik, Tayyab Afzal and Iman Fatima in the leading roles.

The film was sent to Oscar Award’s management by British Academy Award Selection Committee for the category of foreign language movies.
