Revival of Pakistani film industry only possible with 'masala type' movies: Rambo

Filmmakers are not showing interest in making films in national language, said Afzal Khan.

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Outstanding television, film and theater actor Afzal Khan who is commonly known as Rambo has declared films based on latest technology as need of the time in Pakistan.

In a statement, Rambo said that revival of industry cannot be achieved by producing only one or two movies whereas it can only be possible by gving ‘masala type’ entertainment content to the audience.

He hoped that the films that are scheduled to be released on Eid-ul-Fitr would further enhance stability of the industry. He said new films have paved ways to the success.

Rambo said we should not forget the era in which stunning actors like Babar Ali, Saud, Shan were struggling hard to maintain the place of showbiz industry. He said that directors are not showing interest in making films in national language.
