KARACHI (Dunya News) - Indian actress and director Pooja Bhatt arrived in Pakistan on Thursday on a 10-day private visit.
She landed at Karachi airport through PK-275.
Talking exclusively to Roznama Dunya correspondent, she said that it is not right to say that Pakistani and Indian artists have been banned as only they are paving the way of cultural peace both the countries.
She said that she has visited Karachi numerous times and it seems to her as her own city.
Replying to a question about Indian extremists, Pooja pronounced that airspace between India and Pakistan is opened and people are still travelling.
“My father and other Indian artists also supported the Pakistani artists. We should promote mutual respect between each other,” she said.
Afterwards, her host barred her from speaking further with the media.
Cultural analysts say that it is not less than a tragedy for Pakistani artists that their counterparts are being invited in their country in a situation when a ban has been imposed on them from working in Bollywood.
Sources have revealed that Pooja Bhatt has been invited in an award show and fashion week due to be held in Karachi.
However; the administration wanted to keep her arrival as a secret to save her from any inconvenience.
