LOS ANGELES (Web Desk) - A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly attacking actor Brad Pitt at the Hollywood premiere of Angelina Jolie’s new film “Maleficent.”

Pitt and Jolie were signing autographs outside the El Capitan Theatre when a man jumped over the barriers and struck the actor in the face, according to Sgt. Leonard Calderon with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Private security guards detained the man until LAPD officers could take him into custody, Calderon said.

The man, identified as Vitalii Seduik, was taken to the LAPD’s Hollywood station and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department inmate locator website.

Seduik was being held on $20,000 bail.

This was not the first time Sediuk had confronted a celebrity at a public event.

In 2012, he was slapped by actor Will Smith after attempting to kiss him.

Most recently, Sediuk was hustled away by security after putting his head up America Ferrara’s dress at the Cannes premiere of “How to Train Your Dragon 2.”
