LAHORE (Web Desk) - A sessions court has issued an arrest warrant for Pakistani actress Meera and her alleged husband Captain Naveed for their failure to appear in court despite summons issued over a plea seeking registration of a criminal case on charges of filming a ‘controversial video clip’ and uploading it on social media.

An additional district and session judge had sought appearance of Meera and her husband Captain Naveed but they did not turn up following which the court ordered police to arrest and produce the couple before it on March 25.

The petitioner had claimed that the controversial video of the couple which was leaked out and posted on the internet had brought disrepute to the nation.

Meera had denied the video’s authenticity, terming it as an attempt to undermine her position and credibility.
