Fairytale-like fashions and nightmarish creatures took over the Chinese capital's catwalks as one of the country's most famous make-up artists presented his latest visions at the China International Fashion Week. During the 30-minute runway show at a hotel not far from Tiananmen Square in the centre of Beijing, models strutted down the runway in colourful, carefully-crafted looks. The warriors, beasts and fairies moving down the catwalk were all conceived by Mao and dressed by Chinese fashion designer Wang Yutao.
