PCB offers Shajreel, Khalid leniency in punishment in case of confession

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to finalize the charge sheet against Islamabad United’s players Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif today (Saturday) in the spot-fixing scandal.

According to details, PCB officials have asked strict questions from both these players and offered them to make confession of their crime in order to get relaxation in the punishment.

Earlier on Friday, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif had recorded their statements on camera to give answers of questions that were asked in anti-corruption unit’s notice of demand.

The anti-corruption unit had asked the details of time and place of their meetings with bookie, and other particulars including the names of other facilitators. Sharjeel Khan and khalid Latif also submitted the details of their bank accounts, mobile records and email addresses on demand of PCB.

Khalid Latif was also given break as he was feeling unwell and recorded his statement at six in the evening. Both players answered the questions after consulting with their family members.
