The Batsman said there must be no ties with Pakistan until the time cross border terrorism finishes.

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Veteran Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir opened up on escalating tensions between India and Pakistan and insisted that every kind of relation with the neighboring country must be stopped.

Supporting Prime Minister Nerendra Modi’s statements, the 35-year-old said that it is not the right time to play bilateral cricket with Pakistan.

The batsman also said that there must be no ties with Pakistan until the time cross border terrorism finishes.

Wouldn’t even think of playing cricket with Pakistan as Indian lives are more important than sports, he added.

The recent attack on an Indian army garrison in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir gave rise to strained relations between both states after which Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) President Anurag Thakur announced to not play any series against Pakistan.
