The next transnational tournament is the Champions Trophy

(Web Desk) – Indian cricket board has requested the International Cricket Council to not put India and Pakistan in a group in international tournaments, according to the Indian media.

Hindustan Times reported that Board of Control for Cricket in India has forwarded a formal request.

“Keeping in mind that the government has adopted a new strategy to isolate Pakistan and in view of the public sentiment in the country, we request ICC not to put India and Pakistan in the same pool of the multi-nation tournaments,” BCCI president Anurag Thakur said.

The development has come in after India failed to provide an evidence to support her accusations of Uri attack against Pakistan.

Following the attack on September 11 on Brigade Headquarters in Baramulla District, India resorted to cross-border shelling in wee hours of Thursday morning martyring two soldiers over Pakistan’s UNGA bid to highlight violence in Occupied Kashmir.

India is adamant to isolate Pakistan in the world by damaging her image.

The upcoming transnational tournament is the Champions Trophy that is to be held at least after seven months.
