Cricketer Umar Akmal ties the knot
The couple intends to start married life by performing Umra together.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team’s wicket keeper and batsman Umar Akmal started a new inning of life on Saturday by tying the knot with former test cricketer Abdul Qadir’s daughter Noor Amna, Dunya News reported.
The Nikah took place in a modest ceremony that was attended by close relatives. Elder brother Kamran Akmal also blessed Umar Akmal with best wishes through Twitter.
Kamran Akmal blessed the newlyweds with countless prayers and shared the news with his fans worldwide through social networking website Twitter.
Talking on the occasion, bridegroom Umar Akmal said that he is extremely happy. He also revealed that instead of a lavish honeymoon, the couple intends to start wedded life by performing Umra pilgrimage to Makkah along with select family members.
Umar Akmal and Noor Amna’s reception ceremony will take place on Wednesday whereas the Walima will be held on Thursday.
