Zardari welcomes cricket stadium construction in Islamabad

President Zardari has welcomed the construction of a cricket stadium in Islamabad.

President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also the chief patron of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has expressed satisfaction over the agreement signed between the PCB and the CDA for the construction of international cricket stadium in Islamabad.According to the sources, the process of the agreement accomplished due to the interference of the presidency house. Both the parties, CDA and the PCB have agreed to resolve the issue and the CDA has issued 35 acres of land to the PCB for the construction of the stadium.Chairman CDA, Farkhand Iqbal said that the CDA would play its role for the construction of the stadium as he is in the favor of healthy activities in the city, adding that international cricket should be resumed in Pakistan.
