However, Shanghai was flat, edging down 2.31 points to 2,955.77. In other markets: Singapore closed up 1.26 percent, or 38.37 points, at 3,095.32.Manila soared 2.98 percent, or 116.51 points, to 4,023.74. Kuala Lumpur closed up 0.76 percent, or 11.54 points, at 1,531.63. Bangkok rose 1.38 percent or 14.31 points to close at 1,050.67. Mumbais benchmark 30-share Sensex Index closed up 169.38 points to 19,290.18, a near three-month high.
