National Savings to introduce new schemes soon
People can buy certificate worth Rs 40000 from national savings center across the country.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Directorate of National Savings has planned to introduce new schemes for the general public in order to promote investment culture in the country in which investors could invest Rs 40000, helping to get the prize money and also profit on the scheme
According to an official, people can buy certificate worth Rs 40000 from national savings center across the country. The benefit they will get that they can get six monthly returns as market trend of interest rate and will also entitle for the prize money as per the draws to be announced by the center.
Moreover, the certificate would registered in the name of the buyer so that one can differentiate between file and and non-filer. Filer would be exempted from the withholding tax while non-filer has to pay 0.4 percent on the investment.
In the financial years 2015-16 total investment in national saving schemes was at Rs 233 billion rupees of this Rs 123 billion was invested in the prize bonds, while in 2014-15 total investment stood around Rs 337 billion of this Rs 75 billion was invested in prize bonds.
