Pakistani Stock Market Index expanded by 57percent in 2009

Pakistani stock market index expanded 57 percent this year which is the highest level of increase since 2005, reported Dunya News. On the start of this year, KSE-100 Index also dropped to the minimum level of 4815 points however buying by the foreign investors and governments step brought improvement in the stock market. In October index touched 9846 points. Collectively, the index increased by 57 percent during this year. On the contrary, the performance of other stock markets in the region remained 70 percent. The activity market remained under pressure following uncertain law and order situation in the country during this year.
