All banks including SBP remain closed for alms deduction today
All the banks and financial institutions including State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed today for the deduction of alms. The SBP has kept the amount applicable for deduction at Rs 20,889. The account holders containing money above this amount will pay 2.5 percent alms on their money which will be deducted today. The banks had weekly off on Saturday so the banks will remain closed for the public dealing today.
