Khan had the opportunity to settle in the United States (US), away from threats, when The Washington Post and The Committee to Protect Journalists assisted him to move after conditions back home were assessed as unsafe and yet he returned after three months and chose to continue the work about which he is passionate. Mr. Khan resumed his responsibilities but with added zeal and spirit. His bravery was recognized widely by the global media which earned him the International Freedom for the Press Award by the prestigious National Press Club Washington D.C.
Mr. Kamran Khan’s career as broadcaster expanded with the emergence of the private news networks in Pakistan over a decade ago.
