India: Small blast at hospital near Taj Mahal injures 15

At least 15 people were injured in a small bomb blast at a private hospital near Taj Mahal in Agra.

According to Indian media, a small bomb injured 15 people Saturday night at a private hospital in the Indian city of Agra near the famed Taj Mahal.According to Agra Police, the homemade bomb shattered windows and sent glass flying in the reception area of the Jai hospital, about 2 miles (3 kilometers) from the 17th century monument.Police cordoned off the area and were investigating, but said it was too early to say if terrorists or a criminal gang might be involved. Police inspector P.K. Tiwari said six people were being treated for minor injuries.India has ramped up security since Sept. 7, when a briefcase bomb killed 12 people outside a New Delhi courthouse.
