Biggest music light show marked Russias capital citys 864th birthday.

The curtain of the biggest ever music-light and fireworks show was lifted on the main building of Moscow State University in the Sparrow Hills to celebrate the Moscow City Day, also the capital city’s 864th birthday.The show was projected onto the largest ever 25,500 square-meter surface, which has been listed in the Guinness World Records. World famous urban free climber, Alain Robert who has climbed the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building, also climbed up to the 240-meter-high university building in the evening. Around 100,000 people attended the show.Australian David Atkins, who masterminded the opening ceremony for the Sydney Summer Olympics Games in 2000 and the opening ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo in 2010, has been working on the event with his team for the last six months.More than a thousand of workers dedicated themselves to the preparations, set up a steel structure of about 2,200 cubic meters in volume and installed 81 projectors.At the end of the show, 5,000 fireworks pushed the festival to its peak and draw a satisfactory conclusion to the celebrations.
