(Reuters) - Protesters marched in the Scottish city of Glasgow on Sunday to demand Scotland’s independence and the end of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government.

All Under One Banner, a campaign group for Scottish independence, organised the protest on Facebook as an "emergency rally" with the aim to "sack Johnson, end Tory rule, independence now."

Holding Scottish flags and banners, protesters chanted, "What do we want? Independence! When do we want it? Now!"

They were accompanied by bagpipe players and a number of police officers and vehicles were present at the demonstration.

"Boris Johnson must go! He partied while others died," All Under One Banner said on their Facebook event page. "His murderous Covid policies and the stench of Tory corruption and sleaze are the last straw."
