The 799th urs of sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti has concluded in Ajmer.

The urs of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti or Gharib Nawaz began on June 4 and teeming crowds flocked to Ajmer, the abode of the greatest sufi saint of the Chishti chain of sufis.The shrine, which has been the pillar of socio-cultural synthesis for ages, was washed with rose water.Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti is a pillar of the philosophy of religious tolerance and cultural and social synthesis.Almost one million devotees from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and around the world participated in the urs.A large number of non-Muslims are also among the devotees of great sufi saint.
