Protests greet Queen in Ireland

The queen expressed her sympathy with Irish people who suffered hardships during independence war.

Addressing a reception arranged by Ireland president in her honour, she said: To all those who have suffered as a consequence of our troubled past I extend my sincere thoughts and deep sympathy.On the second day of her visit, the queen met Irish Prime minister and his cabinet. On one hand, the Irish officials are happy on the Queen’s visit but on the other hand her remarks angered the people of Ireland. The Irish people are protesting in different parts of the country against the visit.
