Robert Gates said that Osamas death could affect the relations between the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates said that the death of Osama Bin Laden could trigger a change in Afghanistan because Bin Laden was in close contact with Mullah Omar.Robert Gates visited an airbase in North Carolina where one solider inquired him about the impact Osama’s death would have in Afghanistan. Gates said that Bin Laden’s death could affect the relations between the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. He added that a clear picture would emerge after six months. Robert Gates also said that Pakistan has worked beyond expectation in the war against terror. He also said that Pakistan and the United States need to clarify their relationship.
