In pictures: Earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia gulp down hundreds of lives
Powerful earthquake leaves behind a trail of annihilation; Indonesia needs help.
(Web Desk) – A horrible earthquake and tsunami hit Indonesia on Friday. Indonesian city Palu, whose population is around 350,000, was hit by an earthquake of 7.5 followed by tsunami. Though at first the number of causalities was some dozens but as the situation is unfolding, an alarming number of deaths is surfacing. According to news agencies, more than 1200 people are dead now.

The government has asked for help from international community. As the disaster is gulping down more lives, Indonesian President President Joko Widodo has sought NGOs and foreign agencies to lend their hand so that the disaster could be tackled and damage could be reduced to the extent possible. Following are the views of devastation and obliteration that have left horrible scar on people’s mind. Furthermore they are evident of the fact that Indonesia needs help from international community.
