The Socialist party took a clear lead in France local bodies elections.
French President Nicolas Sarkozys ruling party suffered a rebuff in local elections that saw the Socialists surge and the far right cemented its popularity ahead of next years presidential and parliamentary votes.According to the France’ Interior Ministry, the opposition gained 36 percents votes in the elections and the ruling party received only 18 percent of votes. The political analysts in France are saying that the results have blown a whistle for President Sarkozy.
