A passenger bus crashed into an oncoming train early on Thursday in Urumqi, in northwest Chinas Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, killing at least three and injuring more than 50 others.The collision occurred at 9:17am in the regional capital when the bus was carrying a full load of passengers, many of whom were students on their way to school.Three people aboard the bus died on the spot and more than 50 others were injured. The victims were rushed to three nearby hospitals for treatment, one of which took about 30 patients. The bus was severely damaged in the accident, with windows shattered and seats deformed.Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, but residents familiar with the bus service complained that vehicles used on the route were rundown.
