NATO airstrike on two fuel tankers hijacked by Taliban militants in Kunduz province of northern Afghanistan has killed 90 people and injured many others. Talking to media in Kabul, press officer of NATO and US troops Captain John Stock confirmed the attack. He said that the strike was launched to recover the oil tankers seized by Taliban. According to sources, Taliban managed to take one of the tankers over the river. The second got stuck so they told villagers to come and take the diesel. Many villagers rushed to the tanker with available pots and jars. Sources said that 15 Taliban were on tankers at the time of attack. The injured were shifted to hospital. Kunduz Governor Mohammad Omar also said that 90 people were dead but did not give a breakdown.
