ISLAMABAD (APP) - Continuing the growing trend of uniquely named and high-value sacrificial animals across various cities, this year in Chishtian, Bahawalnagar district, a heavyweight bull named “Rustam Punjab” has emerged as a major attraction for buyers in the local cattle market ahead of Eidul Azha.
The owner of the bull “Rustam Punjab,” while speaking to a local media channel said that the Chishtian cattle market is witnessing strong demand for the heavyweight animal, with its price being quoted at around 55 lakh rupees.
He added that so far offers of up to Rs45 lakh have been made by interested buyers, but the final deal has not yet been settled.
He further stated that if the bull does not sell in the local market, it will be taken to Karachi’s cattle market for better commercial prospects.
According to him, “Rustam Punjab” stands around 7 to 8 feet wide in build and has been raised on special feed to enhance its strength and overall physique.
He also noted that “Rustam” has been specially groomed over time with a carefully managed diet and proper care, which has contributed to its impressive growth and strong market value, making it a standout attraction among buyers in the cattle market ahead of Eidul Azha.
On the other hand, in Safdarabad, bulls named “Bablu” and “Chandni” are drawing notable attention from buyers in the local cattle market.
Prices are being set according to demand, with traders reporting steady interest from visitors.
Locals say the trend of uniquely named sacrificial animals is gaining popularity across Punjab, turning such bulls into seasonal attractions.
The naming culture is especially appealing to youngsters and children, who are showing keen interest in visiting the markets to see these distinctive animals.
