(Web Desk) - Apple is officially rolling out its Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple Devices apps for Windows users this week.

These apps, which were initially in preview last year, have now shed the preview tag after collaboration between Apple and Microsoft. The goal is to encourage Windows users to move away from iTunes reliance.

With these apps, iTunes is only necessary for accessing podcasts and audiobooks on Windows. The Apple Music app provides access to the iTunes library and allows for song and album purchases, while Apple TV enables users to watch movies and TV shows from their iTunes library and stream subscription content.

Apple Devices allows PC users to backup, restore, and sync content to their iPhones and iPads. Microsoft has been involved in the development of these apps and has welcomed their launch.

They have also integrated iCloud Photos into Windows, allowing users to link their iCloud Photos library directly to the built-in Photos app on Windows 11.

However, these new Apple apps are only available on traditional x86-based PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11, with no indication yet of ARM64 versions for Qualcomm-powered Windows devices.
