WhatsApp working on new photo editing feature

(Web Desk) – WhatsApp is planning to roll out an advance tool that will enable users to edit text within images videos, and GIFs.

The feature was spotted latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.3.7 update by wabetainfo, an online portal that closely monitors updates in the Meta’s messaging app. The feature would be available to all users after completion of trial.

The fonts, which will be available in the future, include Calistoga, Courier Prime, Damion, Exo 2, and Morning Breeze.

“It seems it will exclusively be possible to choose these fonts within the drawing editor, so they are not planned to be introduced to text status updates and chat messages. Thanks to new fonts, users will be able to add more personalization and creativity to their text within images, videos, and GIFs and better express themselves by making their content more visually attractive,” the report said.

WhatsApp is likely to release the fonts along with the revamped text editor in a future update of the Android app.
