US space shuttle Atlantis docked with the International Space Station after two days of flight.

Space shuttle Atlantis docks at the International Space Station as the hatch opening unites crews on board. The shuttle and station crews will open hatches and hold the traditional welcome ceremony. The combined crew of 10 will begin more than a week of docked operations, transferring vital supplies and equipment to sustain station operations once the shuttles are retired.Carrying food and supplies for the space station, Atlantis mission marks the end of a US space shuttle program that spanned thirty years.
