Summary Pakistani boxer Qudrat Ullah disappeared from the team hotel in Glasgow before departure, prompting an investigation by the Pakistan Boxing Federation.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistani boxer Qudrat Ullah, who represented the country at the Commonwealth Games, has reportedly gone missing in Glasgow, Scotland, and did not return to Pakistan with the national squad. The Pakistan Boxing Federation has confirmed his disappearance.
According to sources, Qudrat Ullah went missing nearly six hours before the team's scheduled departure for Pakistan. The squad was due to assemble in the hotel lobby at 9am, but when officials went to call him from his room, he was nowhere to be found.
Sources said the boxer was last seen in his hotel room at around 2am. By morning, there was no trace of him. His passport and return air ticket were reportedly in the custody of the team manager, making his disappearance even more unusual and raising several questions.
Officials from the Pakistan Boxing Federation confirmed the incident and said an investigation had been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
This is not the first such incident involving Pakistan's boxing contingent. During the 2022 Commonwealth Games in England, two Pakistani boxers also separated from the national team and went missing before returning home.
